Despite the rather surreal style and theme, the locations presented in the game look quite realistic - mainly thanks to the modern engine responsible for lighting and shadowing. Superliminal has a pleasant, three-dimensional graphic design. The basis of the gameplay is the single player mode. The same image, inverted appropriately, after dropping will become a large platform, on which you can easily climb to the exit. When you get far enough away from it, it will be small enough from your perspective that you can easily.you can grasp it between your fingers. There is no ladder or stairs in the area, but there is a painting hanging on the wall. How does it work in practice? For example, imagine that you see a room with a door on one of the walls - at a height of about 3 meters, beyond your reach. It's all because the puzzles in the production of Pillow Castle Games use depth, perspective and optical illusions. Although it sounds simple enough, in practice the game can be really twisted and complicated. The gameplay is based on solving puzzles - most often it's about finding a way out of a given room. In Superliminal we observe the action from a first-person perspective (the so-called FPP view). The title was developed and published by independent studio Pillow Castle Games and represents its debut. The production was previously known as Museum of Simulation Technology and has been in development since 2013. Superliminal is a first-person puzzle game in which the player solves visual puzzles based on depth, perspective and illusion.
